About Our College
Manbhum Institute of Nursing & Medical Sciences (MINMS) is the first self financed Nursing Training Institute in Purulia District Town established and managed by Manbhum Society for Educational & Cultural Research, a charitable society devoted since two decades for human welfare and upliftment of society in various fields of education comprised of people with academic and cultural bent of mind.
The college has introduced three years General Nursing Midwifery (G.N.M) course and four years Bachelors degree in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) course. The college is affiliated with West Bengal Nursing Council,Govt.of West Bengal, and recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Govt. Of India.
The college aims to impart nursing training to meet the growing requirements of nursing staff in the healthcare sector of the country and help to minimize the demand and supply gap of the health care personnel.
Our Nursing institute has well equipped Medical laboratories and modern and highly up-to-date Library for nursing education. The Institute has academic faculties with highest rigor of academic standard under the guidance of permanent, part time and visiting faculties from the reputed academic institutions. The institution is also intended to convey professional education and utilize science for catering to social welfare in the best possible manner which is the demand of the new century.

Course Details
GNM Nursing course is a 3-year course in the field of Nursing. The GNM Nursing focuses on specific areas of Nursing practice such as maternity care, post-trauma care, rehabilitation, mental health care, data collection, and so on.
GNM course includes six months of mandatory internship. GNM Nursing is one of the sorts of GNM Nursing courses that can be considered a stepping stone for a bright career in the Nursing field. GNM graduates can start their careers by working with government and private hospitals and clinics.
Candidates who complete the GNM course can pursue careers in Nursing such as Clinical Nurse Specialists, Legal Nurse Consultants, Forensic Nurses, Traveling Nurses, and so on. The top recruiters that employ GNM course include The Indian Red Cross Society Max Hospital, Community Health Centres Manipal Hospital, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Fortis Healthcare, etc.

The first batch of the Institute has successfully completed the course and 60% students have been successfully placed in a renowned Hospital of Purulia Town.
